Patients scheduled for surgery should arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 A.M. on the day of the procedure. If it is more convenient for you, you may make advance arrangements to bring your pet to the hospital the night before surgery or arrange for early morning drop off. It is important that food be withheld after 10:00 P.M. the evening before surgery. Water may be provided as late as the morning of the procedure. Ask your doctor about medication administration for special-needs patients prior to surgery.
